Why people don't want Universal Health Care FAQ

1. Q: Why don't more people want universal health care?

   A: Because it is unsustainable and makes all people equally poor.

2. Q: Why don't more people want Obamacare?

   A: Because it is unsustainable and throws people out of work.

3. Q: Why don't more people want a Single Payer system?

   A: Because it is unsustainable and totally drains the economy.

4. Q: Why don't more people want Medicare for All?

   A: Because it is unsustainable and totally drains the economy.

5. Q: Why can't Medicare for All handle everyone's healthcare?

   A: The Medicare tax would have to be much higher.

   • Each average person pays in to Medicare for 42 years and collects for 14 years.
   • Each person collects for 79 years with Medicare for All.
   • The current Medicare tax is 2.9%. Half is paid by the employer and half by the employee.

     - But the half the employer pays reduces the employee salary by that much.

   • The new Medicare tax would be 2.9% × 79 ÷ 14 = 16.36%
   • The new Medicare tax would increase the average total tax from 37% to 50%.
   • When taxing through price increase is included, the tax goes up from 75% to 88%.
6. Q: Why are these plans unsustainable?

   A: Look at the facts and the math:

   • 326 M persons = total population of the United States (= insured)
   • 130 M persons = total working population of the United States
   • $ 10.5 T = total amount of money in the United States (M2)
   • $ 1.2 T = total cash and demand deposits in the United States

      Now let's look at the worst case scenario:
         A sudden need to immunize everyone in the United States against a deadly virus:

   • The vaccine costs $10 K per dose to make
   • If ALL of the cash and demand deposits are used, there is only $3681 available per person.
   • The rest of the money is not easily converted to cash. Most of it disappears in the process.
   • There is not enough easily available money in the US to pay for a vaccine for everyone.
7. Q: Why can't they just raise taxes to pay for health care?

   A: That much more taxation will kill most of the economy.

   • Nothing can raise the needed amount of wealth.
     - There is not enough wealth in the US to fund all of any universal health care system/
   • Government cannot create any wealth at all.
     - Only work can create wealth.
   • Believing in universal health care can't make it happen.
8. Q: Is this why wealth redistribution doesn't work?

   A: Yes. There is not enough available money.

   • When the cash and demand deposits are divided equally, there is only about 3681 per person.
   • Because the rest of the money is loaned out to others, that money disappears when the cash is taken to redistribute it.
