HOW THE STUPID ATHEIST TRICKS FAIL TO DISCREDIT RELIGIOUS BELIEFS

Atheists use hateful language to get their selfish way. Here are the reasons why their arguments are specious and how they are spreading their beliefs as though they were scientific facts.

  1. "ALL RELIGIONS ARE MYTHS."

They just flatly say that all religions are myths.

    • They say that Jesus was a myth, even though Roman records mention him.
    • Atheist union schoolteachers unconstitutionally teach that all religions are myths. They do it to elect more Democrats.
    • Those accepting Jesus Christ get the Holy Spirit to verify that the belief is real.
  2. "CHRISTIANS DON'T OBEY THE BIBLE."

2 A. CHRISTIANS CHERRYPICK WHICH BIBLE VERSES TO OBEY.

Many Atheists claim that Christians "cherry-pick" what parts of the Bible to obey, instead of obeying the entire Bible.

    • The Christian is not under the Old Testament Law. The Grace of Jesus Christ has replaced the Law of Moses for anyone who accepts Christ.
    • The New Testament tells Christians what to avoid: sexual immorality, eating blood, meat from strangled animals, and food sacrificed to idols. God did the selection.
    • Christians are to obey God's moral standards, but not the rest of the Old Testament. The ceremonial, cleanliness, dietary, and civil parts don't apply to Christians.
    • All Christians obey exactly the SAME parts of the Old Testament.
    • Unbelievers hate the fact that sexual immorality is still prohibited as wrongdoing.

2 B. CHRISTIANS MUST OBEY THE ENTIRE OLD-TESTAMENT.

    • Atheists assume that, because Christians got the entire Bible, they have to obey all of it.
    • The rest of the Bible is provided for historic content and more insight into God's will and precepts.
    • Unbelievers hate the fact that sexual immorality is still prohibited as wrongdoing, while eating shellfish or pork is not.
    • Many parts of the Law are intended to protect people from the acts of other people and from diseases that were not the same threats by the time of Jesus.
  3. ABUSIVE LANGUAGE

3 A. ABUSIVE LANGUAGE TO DISCREDIT RELIGIOUS PEOPLE

They use pejoratives, innuendo, prevarications, and namecalling, as though they somehow improve their arguments.

    • These are ad-hominem attacks aimed at people who believe in religions.
    • This is faulty logic. It destroys any argument it is coupled with.

3 B. THE PEJORATIVE "HOLIER THAN THOU"

Their pejorative "holier than thou" does not make sense for these reasons:

    1. "Holy" means "separated from sin". Holiness is either present or absent. "Holy" has no comparative or superlative forms in religion.
    2. "Thou" is the wrong word. Since it is the object of a preposition, the correct word is "thee".
    3. English used to have "thou" and "thee" as commonly used 2nd-person-familiar pronouns, and their "-est" and "-eth" verb forms.
    4. English stopped using familiar forms in the 1800s, keeping only the formal pronoun "you". Spanish still has both forms.
  4. "MAN INVENTED RELIGION."

4 A. MAN INVENTED RELIGION TO CONTROL PEOPLE.

They say that men invented religions to control other people.

    • Politicians created religions to control people: Political Correctness, Egalitarianism, Diversity, and Multiculturalism are examples.
    • Despotic leaders have in the past invented religions to scare the people into obeying.

4 B. MAN INVENTED RELIGION TO EXPLAIN THE UNIVERSE.

They say that men invented religions to explain the world.

    • "Scholars" (who are protecting their jobs from Atheist employers) posit that man invented religion to explain the heavens.
    • False religions have many gods, each one controlling one aspect of life. Real religions have only one God.

Man did not invent many of the religions.

    • Predictions in the Scriptures that came true (including the prediction that people would not accept the beliefs) show that religion is real.
    • Those who believe in Christ also have the Holy Spirit as evidence that their beliefs are correct.
    • Nobody could have invented Christ's plan of salvation. Even the disciples didn't understand it until they received the Holy Spirit.
  5. MISREADING THE BIBLE

5 A. READING OLD TRANSLATIONS USING MODERN ENGLISH

They try to use modern English to understand the King James Version of the Bible.

    • The translation of the King James Version from Latin to English was completed in 1610.
    • The translators would not have known or used any word meanings that did not yet exist in 1610.
    • Anybody who reads the King James Version using word meanings that are newer than 1610 will get wrong meanings.

5 B. TWISTING LANGUAGE TO GET THEIR WAY

They twist the meanings of words to produce the meaning they want.

    • They use alternate meanings of words that were not intended by the translators.
    • In some cases, they invent new meanings of words for the purpose of changing the scriptures.
  6. MISREADING THE FIRST AMENDMENT

6 A. SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE MEANS RELIGION IS NOT PROTECTED.

They misunderstand the First Amendment of the Constitution by reading it using modern English.

    • They believe it requires separation of church and state. It does not.
    • The words "establishment of religion" are the 18th century way of saying "church" or "church denomination".
    • The first amendment prohibits government from making laws about churches and from prohibiting obedience of religion.

6 B. THE US IS NOT A THEOCRACY.

They think that the First Amendment takes away religious rights instead of granting them.

    • They think the First Amendment requires government to deny that religion is real.
    • They believe separation of church and state means that government must not protect religious rights.
    • The First Amendment grants the CIVIL RIGHT to believe in and obey a religion.
    • The fact that the US is not a theocracy does not take away religious rights.
  7. "SCIENCE HAS DISPROVED RELIGION."

They believe that science can disprove religious beliefs.

This does not work for the following reasons:

    • The rules of the scientific method were written by Atheists to prohibit scientists from reporting a miracle as anything other than random chance. Thus, science cheats.
    • Scientists have no access to heaven or hades. Science must limit itself to the 4-D space-time continuum. Maybe heaven and hades are in other dimensions.
    • Nevertheless, some people try to use science to try to disprove religious beliefs. They are doomed to fail.
    • Some atheists make blanket claims that science has disproved religion without any proof.
  8. "RELIGIOUS PEOPLE DON'T BELIEVE IN SCIENCE."

Atheists believe that religious people don't believe in science.

    • This is blatantly false. Most religious people believe in science. Some religious people are scientists.
    • Many Atheists in positions of power wrongly believe that nobody with a religious belief can do science objectively. They wrongly fire or prevent the hire of religious people.
    • The ONLY instances of science that most religious people disbelieve are specific cases of either speculative or bad science:
      1. Too many people believe every scientific report that is published without waiting for the required verification by independent disinterested scientists.
      2. Evolution as the Origin of Life has not been proved. It is speculative science because it is based on informed guesses made by Atheists who do not want a creation by God. The only part of Evolution that has been proved is Natural Selection.
      3. The Origin of the Universe is full of speculative science. But there is a very good description of the Big Bang Theory in Genesis 1.
      4. The idea of a young earth is not found in the Bible. It was the work of Bishop Ussher, who added together the years portrayed in the Bible. But he missed several indeterminate times.
      5. Radioisotope dating makes assumptions that may not be true. It does not take into account such events as nearby supernovas and shielding atmospheres.
      6. Proof that GLBT craving is hereditary in nature was bad science. Worse, their scientists keep repeating the same mistakes.
      7. Proof that Global Warming is actually happening has so far been bad science.
      8. Life begins at conception, no matter what Atheists say. Science proves it.
      9. Many atheists act like monkeys to demonstrate that Evolution must be true.
      10. The fact that science can do something does not provide evidence that it should be done.
      11. Science cannot change the texts of the Scriptures of religions.
      12. The fact that a person feels compelled to do something does not make it right to do it. There are people who feel compelled to rob banks, commit rape, and kill.
    • The real problem is that Atheists believe these instances of speculation and bad science are really scientific fact.
    • Atheists believe there is such a thing as "settled science". It does not exist. All science is subject to change when new discoveries are found (e.g. Relativity replacing Newtonian Physics, just as Newtonian Physics replaced Aristotelian Impetus Theory a few centuries earlier - Note that the NFL still believes in Impetus Theory).
  9. "THE BIBLE PROHIBITS DIVORCE."

Atheists believe that divorce is prohibited in the Bible.

    • Very few religions prohibit divorce.
    • Of the Christian religions, only Catholicism prohibits divorce.
    • The Bible actually prohibits divorce with the intent to marry someone else.
    • The Old Testament laws prohibiting divorce as punishment for a crime were intended to deter those crimes, and to provide a living of the wronged women.
  10. "THE SUPREME COURT SAID RELIGION IS FALSE."

Atheists believe the Supreme Court decision removing religion from schools said that all religions were false.

    • In 1971, the Supreme Court ruled that schools and governments must not do anything that either abets or hinders the religious beliefs of any person.
    • Many Atheist union schoolteachers disobey the First Amendment to obey union demands that teachers tell pupils that all religions are myths. They want this because religious people don't vote for Democrats.
    • Many more believe the lies their teachers told them.
  11. "FORCING YOUR BELIEFS ON OTHERS"

Atheists say that religious people force their beliefs on others.

    • When a religious person refuses to do something his religion forbids him from doing, Atheists claim that the religious person is somehow forcing his religious beliefs on the person who wants that thing done. Nobody thinks of having someone else do that thing. Instead, Atheists want to sue the religious person to force him to disobey his religion.
    • The religious person is required to obey the religion, not the person who wants something done that the belief prohibits.
    • Many religions have modesty requirements that forbid exposing nakedness in places where people of the opposite birth gender can enter. Democrat rules leave these people with no place they can use a restroom. Atheists say that demanding a single gender restroom that obeys the religion is forcing the religion on the GLBT.
    • Many Atheists want to be free from religion. They want all sights, sounds, and other evidence of religion removed from their daily lives. Their demands discriminate against religions.
    • Often the Atheists deliberately want to force the religious person to disobey the religion because the Atheist hates the religion.
    • They do not see discrimination against a religion as a violation of civil rights. They selfishly think that THEIR civil rights are more important than the civil rights of other people.
    • Religion IS a protected civil right. Atheists have no right to do any of these things.
    • According to the Bible, all GLBT desires are from satan.
  12. "THE BIBLE CONTAINS ERRORS."

Atheists say the Bible is invalid because there are errors in it.

The Bible contains a few trivial errors. Their locations are known and none of them in any way affect Bible doctrine. Here are the kinds of errors found:

    • Numbers in the Bible were copied wrongly by scribes who didn't know math, because letters represent numbers. Those scribes tried to fix what they thought were spelling errors. But enough copies of the ancient documents exist to track the propagation of each error. One such error has king Ahaz beginning his reign when he was two years old. But other copies say he was 20 years old.
    • During the exile in Babylon (605 BC to 538 BC) the exiles lost the meanings of some Hebrew words. Since nobody who returned had ever seen the plants, animals, minerals, precious stones, and places in Israel that those words represented, they had to guess. In some cases they guessed wrong.
    • There were no taxonomies in Bible times to classify plants, animals, and minerals.
    • There were no spaces between words in either Hebrew or Greek, so in a few places they don't know the correct division between words.
    • Any place where a modern translation of the Bible has an uncertain meaning usually has a footnote.
    • NONE of the places where mistakes have been found affect religious doctrine.
  13. "THE BIBLE CONDONES WRONGDOING."

Atheists believe that the Bible condones much of the wrongdoing recorded in it.

    • The Bible is incredibly candid. It tells all of the wrongdoing the officials did as well as what they did right.
    • One terrible case of wrongdoing by officials is in Judges 20 and 21, where they did what they decided without asking what the Lord would have them do.
    • The slavery allowed in the Old Testament law was what we today call public restitution. A person could become a slave for certain crimes, an unpaid debt, restitution for stolen property, selling himself, or being a prisoner of war. Except for the prisoner of war, slavery lasted a maximum of 6 years.
    • Israel used slavery, death, and banishment for crime punishment because nomadic people could not have jail buildings.
    • Exodus 21:7-11 describes the bride price, not slavery.

More Stupid and Odd Atheist Beliefs

Other things Atheists often believe that are wrong:

  1. Most of them believe that only Christians believe that GLBT is a sin. In reality, over 3/4 of the world religions believe that GLBT is wrongdoing. Some have the death penalty.
  2. Many believe that Christians deliberately hate GLBT people. But in reality, the GLBT mistake obeying the religion for deliberate hate.
  3. GLBT people are demanding that religions must change their rules to accommodate them. But most religions have strict penalties for trying to change the religion (see Revelation 22:19).
  4. Most of them believe that homosexuality is a hereditary trait, even though the science showing this has been shown to be bad science. But satan is the true source of these cravings.
  5. Many of them believe the primary colors of paint are red, yellow, and blue. They don't care that science has discovered the more correct primaries of magenta, yellow, and cyan. Very scientific.
  6. Most of them believe that daylight-saving time saves energy. But a study showed that home air conditioning used more energy with the clocks advanced because they must be set to run more often to get the amount of cooling needed after a day at work or school.
  7. Many Atheists would rather believe in ET than God.
  8. Many of them believe that UFOs are extraterrestrial vehicles, even though there is no evidence of this. Three authors thought up three different explanations for UFOs (living air beings, electric plasmas, and atmospheric distortion of lights) after seeing fire balloons launched by pranksters.
  9. Many of them believe that government is covering up evidence of extraterrestrial UFOs. But government has no way to prove they don't have any such evidence even if they don't have any.
  10. Many of them believe that ancient astronauts shaped the history of man.
  11. Many of them prefer a belief in ancient astronauts to a belief in God.
  12. Many of them believe the 9-11 attacks were faked to let Bush have the war he wanted. The problem is that Bush didn't want a war.
  13. Most of them believe that government can spend huge amounts of money and the economy will get better.
  14. Some of them believe government can create a utopia where nobody has to work. Their beliefs are based on the Greek utopia. But that ran on slave labor.
  15. They believe government has the right to make people disobey their religions.
  16. They believe that it is OK for liberals to cheat the elections to keep religious people out of office.
