- My number one suggestion is surveillance cameras in halls and classrooms.
- Microphones with loud sound indicators next to the cameras
- Motion detectors in hallways detect people moving in halls
- Metal detectors in hallways to detect weapon-sized metal objects
- A signal board with video monitors for the security person (right)
- Lights for motion detectors, loud sounds, metal detectors, and fire pull boxes
- A map of the school halls with camera and fire alarm positions (lower left)
- A weather alert radio for severe weather
- Security watches monitors and signal lights to know what is happening
- Different warnings for class end, fire, tornado, shooter, and danger here
- The signals work automatically.
- Security can change warnings at each location based on monitor views
- A hotline or radio to police so security can tell them where the shooter is
- Displays to record event times or elapsed time (bottom center)
- An intercom to the office
- Can control locks to trap shooters, help others escape, and let police in.

- Steel or solid wood doors and wall linings.
- Slowing down bullets can save lives.
- Angled or corrugated inserts can deflect or slow bullets.
- Bulletproof glass in doors
- Alcoves in hallway and classroom walls provide cover from a shooter
- Curves or jogs in hallways so a shooter can't shoot a long distance
- Closets people can hide in and lock doors to keep a shooter out
- Rapidly flash the lights where the shooter is to disorient the shooter
- Rapidly alternate or rotate lights where the shooter is to change the apparent locations of people and objects
- Paint optical illusions on hallway walls to mess up a shooter's aim.
- Fill the area with vision-impairing or eye-irritating smoke
- Fill the area with sleep-inducing substances
- Fill the area with foam
- Use recordings of police sirens, bullhorns, shots, or barking dogs to turn the attention of the shooter away from others
- Fill the area with disorienting sounds
- Trap door drops the shooter into a vault
- Shoot pingpong balls to distract the shooter
- Myriads of BBs released on the floor make the shooter slip and fall
- Armed guards (separate from the security operator) to nab the shooter
- Armed teachers are an option.
- Weapons other than guns are an option.
- Overrule the Egalitarians and put God (and His protection) back in schools
- Abolish abortion and military conscription, which make life disposable.
- Emphasize the value and sanctity of life in class lessons.
- Stop emphasizing the self esteem of the pupils (self esteem is like selfish steam).
- Teach that hurt feelings are nothing to worry about.
- Repudiate liberals who say evil does not exist. School shootings are evil.
- Repeatedly declare that there is never any justification for any school shooting.
- Repeatedly declare shame on the shooter for each school shooting when it happens.
